Ewhurst and Staplecross Village Hall is situated in the centre of Staplecross village set back from the road, fronted by a green open space and has a large car park.
The main hall can accommodate 200 people with an additional annexe and bar area. There is a large stage with extension apron, theatre curtains and curtained windows, stage lighting and dimmable main lighting. Various size tables for use are stored on movable trolleys and many comfortable soft seated chairs are also available.
The facilities include two further rooms at the rear of the stage, ideal for use as committee meeting areas or changing rooms for stage shows and with the added convenience of a separate toilet and additional entrance.
There are 160 chairs and various sizes of gopak tables available.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with servery comprising a range cooker/fridge/microwave together with crockery, cutlery and glasses for approximately 110 people. The hall is supplied with gas and electricity, vented underfloor central heating, male and female toilets including a disabled toilet and baby changing facilities. There are also notice boards in the foyer to advertise local events and information including village hall contact details.
For depositing keys after hiring they should be returned to 8 Weald View. There is a notice board opposite the disabled toilet where invoices can be placed for hirers to collect. All invoices are sent by email prior to using the hall.
